1. BOOKINGS
All bookings are made in advance by a signed or official order. Full and final payment must be made seven days prior to hire ( unless otherwise arranged by us ). Failure to comply will be treated as a cancellation. A £50.00 deposit must be received within seven days of placing your order or the booking will be cancelled.
Details given at the time of booking will be treated as final. Variations, for example, times, departures points and drop off points and destinations etc must be made through our office and not altered with the driver.
2. DRIVERS HOURS AND REST PERIODS
The drivers hours or driving and rest periods are strictly controlled and the current regulations must be complied with. The company will agree the hours of operation of the hire and these MUST be observed.
3. SEATING CAPACITY
The maximum number of passengers allowed on the vehicle is indicated on the vehicle. No standing passengers are allowed. Drivers will not carry any extra passengers over the seating capacity of the vehicle.
4. ANIMALS
will not be carried on any vehicle, except guide dogs.
5. VARIATION OF HIRE
If the vehicle is detained late by the hirer or used for a longer journey that that contracted for, the company reserve the right to make an extra charge.
6. CONDUCT OF PASSENGERS
The driver is responsible for the safety of the vehicle. Any passenger whose conduct is in breach of statutory regulations will be removed on the Drivers authority. The hirer will be responsible for all damages caused to the vehicle by passengers during the hiring.
7. PROPERTY
The company will not accept liability for any damage or loss of any property, which belongs to any passenger that is left on a vehicle. Any articles of lost property recovered from a vehicle will be held at the depot from where the vehicle is based and must be collected from there.
8.CHANGE OF VEHICLE
The company may provide a larger vehicle than the size hired at no additional charge. The company reserve the right to hire another coach operator to cover the hire.
9. BREAKDOWN/DELAY
The company gives advice on journey times in good faith, but does not guarantee the completion of a journey at a specific time and will NOT be liable for inconvenience or loss caused by breakdown or traffic delays to the hirer. We do however have emergency procedures in place including replacement vehicles.
10. COMPLAINTS
In the event of a complaint about the company’s services, the hirer should endeavour to seek a solution at the time by seeking assistance from the driver or company. If this has not provided a remedy, complaints should be submitted in writing within 7 days of the termination date of hire to; Customer Services Dept, Peoplesbus, PO Box 57, Liverpool, L9 8YX. Complaints will be acknowledged within 7 working days and the company will aim to resolve any complaint within 14days of it being made.
11. RETENTION OF VEHICLE
Unless stated it should not be assumed that any vehicle will remain at the destination until the time of the return journey.
12. ROUTE
The route used, unless the hirer has advised of a particular route or places to be passed en-route, which will be specified on the confirmation letter, will be at the discretion of the company and/or the driver.
13. ALCOHOL
Under no circumstances may alcoholic drinks be carried or consumed upon the vehicle without the express permission of the company in writing.
14. SMOKING
All our vehicles are non smoking unless otherwise agreed by the company.
15. CREDIT LIMIT
We operate a strict £1000.00, 30 day credit facility unless otherwise arranged by us.
16. CHARGES FOR LATE PAYMENT
In accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (interest) Act 1998, as amended and supplemented by the late payement of commercial debts regulations 2002, the right is reserved to charge interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate on all amounts outstanding for more than 30 day (the credit period) from the invoice date indicated on the invoice; and further to make a statutory compensatory charge on late payments as follows: for amounts below £1000 a charge of £40; for amounts between £1000 and £10,000 a charge of £70; and for amounts above £10.000 a charge of £100.00.
17 TOLLS & PARKING CHARGES
Any parking or tolls costs must be paid by the hirer on the day of hire unless otherwise arranged by us.
18. CANCELLATION BY THE HIRER
a. If the hirer wishes to cancel any agreement, the following scale of charges will apply in relation to the total hire charge.
28 days or more 10% or £50 (whichever is the greater)
14-27 days 50% of hire
7 -13 days 60% of hire
3- 6 days 75% of hire
1-2 days 85% of hire
Day of hire Minimum of 85% of hire
Arrival of coach at departure point 100% of hire
b. The cost of accommodation, meals and theatre tickets which have already been purchased by the Company at the request of the hirer, will be charged to the hirer, plus any administration charges incurred by the Company.
c. Cancellation due to inclement weather conditions will be charged as above.
d. Ferry/Tunnel crossings or theatre tickets once purchased are not returnable and must be paid for in full (or other such ancillary service).
19. CANCELLATION BY THE COMPANY
In the event of any emergency, riot, civil commotion, strike, lock out, stoppage or restraint of labour or on the happening of any event over which the Company has no control (including adverse weather and road conditions) or in the event of the hirer taking any action to vary agreed conditions unilaterally, the Company may, by returning all money paid and without further or other liability, cancel the contract.
